Long Pine Key Campground

Just six miles from the Ernest Coe Visitor Center, this drive-in NPS campground offers 108 sites with restrooms and potable water—though you won’t find showers or electric hookups here. What it lacks in amenities, it more than makes up for in its pristine setting and closeness to the wild. Wake to birdsong and watch the sunrise turn the sawgrass and water soft shades of pink. With the Anhinga Trail—one of the best spots for gator sightings—just minutes away, plus easy access to other park highlights, it’s an unforgettable base for exploring. Just don’t forget the bug spray.
