Bat Flight Program at Carlsbad Caverns

One of the most iconic wildlife spectacles in the U.S. National Parks system. Each evening during warmer months, thousands of Brazilian free-tailed bats spiral out of the caverns at sunset. A short ranger talk precedes the flight, and the outdoor amphitheater provides excellent viewing without disrupting the bats.
