The Ahwahnee

The Ahwahnee is Yosemite’s crown-jewel lodge — an iconic National Historic Landmark built in the 1920s and world-famous for its grand architecture, soaring dining hall, and dramatic windows framing Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and Glacier Point views. It was officially called the “Majestic Yosemite Hotel” for a period due to a trademark dispute, but its historic name The Ahwahnee has been restored and is the one used by the park today.
