The Apple House

A longtime Shenandoah-area landmark that feels like part roadside stop, part comfort-food diner, part bakery. It’s a great “start/finish the park day” spot—come hungry for hearty breakfasts, classic American plates, and the thing they’re famous for: apple-butter cinnamon donuts (grab extras for the road). Family-owned and right off I-66, so it’s easy even if you’re not doing Skyline Drive that day.
